The challenges
- Santander was struggling with legacy systems and outdated platform architecture
- As the Business Areas required, the previous Service Provider could not cope with the their business need for flexibility, and was greatly impacting their ability to develop and launch into production new consumer services
THE SOLUTION
- The operation of the entire service platform was outsourced to Basefarm, including data center, operation of operating systems, applications and middleware
- A dedicated platform spread across multiple data centers in Basefarm Cloud, a private cloud based on VMware and with access to hyperscale its infrastructure services
- The platform runs Microsoft Windows technology, where the key applications are MS SQL and SharePoint. The guaranteed availability is 99.8%
- New digitization project with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365
